Safran Aeronautical Conference at Hanoi University of Science and Technology

On April 10th & 11th2012, an aeronautical conference was organized at HUST’s campus. Safran, one of the co-organizers is high - technology Group, promoting many international activities in the fields of Aerospace, Defense and Security.

This annual conference is one of the activities within the framework of cooperation agreement for training young aeronautical engineers in Vietnam, signed in 1998 and renewed in 2002, 2005 and 2009 between the Safran Group, the Embassy of France in Vietnam, Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Mécanique et d’Aérotechnique (ENSMA - France), Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, Vietnam Airlines, Hanoi University of Science and Technology and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology.

The 11th conference was contributed by many experts coming from many institutions of Safran Group such as Turbomeca - manufacturer of helicopter engines, Messier-Bugatti-Dowty - manufacturer of aircraft landing and braking systems, Snecma - supplier of commercial aircraft engines and Sagem - specialist of avionics equipments and navigation systems. The main topics of this conference include the wheels and carbon brakes, the helicopter engines, the new regional jet propulsion SaM146, the inertial navigation system, and the leading technologies of aerospace in the world.

There are also other representatives from aeronautical organizations, associations and companies of Vietnam such as: the Civil Aviation Authority, the Vietnam Aerospace Association, Vietnam Airlines, AESC, VACL, ect. attending this conference. The conference is a valuable opportunity for the aeronautical students, experts and entrepreneur of Vietnam to approach, exchange the stage of art technologies and to open up the prospective cooperation in this field. In this occasion, the Safran Group awarded 4 scholarships and a 4 month internship scholarship in the Safran Singapore for excellent students in Aeronautical engineering in cohort 53 of HUST.

During the two days conference, both Safran Group and HUST committed to maintain this corporation in training advanced aeronautical engineers in Vietnam. Hopefully, the coming annual conferences will strengthen this corporation and open up more fruitful and new programs.

Motul and School of Transportation Engineering – Hanoi University of Science and Technology signed a cooperation agreement

On 28 March 2012, Motul and School of Transportation Engineering – Hanoi University of Science and Technology held a ceremony of signing strategic cooperation agreement. Under this agreement, both parties will promote and enhance the coordination related to training, testing and research.

With over 150 years experience in technical lubricant, Motul will finance scholarships for excellent students, operate seminars, and provide training courses which specialize in in-depth knowledge of lubricant fields and internal combustion engine applications. Besides, the school will collaborate with Motul in some research programs, product testing which was experimented in internal combustion engine laboratory and other activities related to the technical training courses for both Motul distributors and its customers. In occasion with this event, Motul want to link the Group’s business to social activities, as well as affirm that Motul products are high-tech lubricant which were developed and tested through cooperation with other organizations and technical experts from well-known institutes or colleges.

The coordination with institutes, universities and technical centers is a worldwide strategy of Motul. The most successful collaboration model is Motul-Russian with MADI-STU (Moscow State Automobile & Road Technical University). Hopefully, the relationship between Motul and School of Transportation Engineering, Hanoi University of Science and Technology will be a promise for further agreement with other colleges in the Asia – Pacific area in near future.
